The course draws on the input and expertise of leading practitioner, James Kamau, Chair, DLA Piper Africa, Managing Partner, IKM. Kamau is a leading corporate and projects lawyer in Kenya with over 27 years post-admission experience. His main areas of practice include finance, private equity, mergers & acquisitions, energy, infrastructure and public-private partnerships. His clients include private equity firms, investment and commercial banks, leading corporates, project developers, DFIs, governments, parastatals and high net worth individuals.
Speaking of the launch, James Leach, Africa Legal’s Chief Learning Officer, said “This is the first course of what is an exciting partnership for us at Africa Legal. It is a privilege to be working in partnership with the East Africa Law Society to develop learning that is designed and curated by leading experts and practitioners from the region specifically to meet the needs of lawyers in the EALS jurisdictions – and elsewhere!
“We are excited to be launching the second pilot course – The Fundamentals of Marketing your Law Firm – in August; hopefully there will be many more to come,” he added.
