Goolam is highly regarded for her technical excellence, with over 22 years experience in corporate law and M&A, specifically dealing with securities law, corporate finance and structuring, corporate law and governance, black economic empowerment transactions, financial services regulation, international transactions, joint ventures, listings/flotations, leveraged and management buy-outs, mining transactions, private equity, public offerings and private placements.
As one of the few lawyers who specialises in providing advice on mergers & acquisitions and equity capital markets – crucial components of the corporate landscape – Goolam brings extensive experience and a deep passion for these areas to the firm.
Before returning to Webber Wentzel, Goolam worked at various law firms as a partner and general counsel, as well as a legal advisor for private clients. Her experience includes advising multinationals on cross-border transactions as well as on various IPOs on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
