“We are lawyers who understand the business side of things,” says Managing Partner Shakwa Nyambe, who founded the firm in Windhoek two years ago.
“We see ourselves as the legal and business connection between Africa and the world, and our new corporate identity reflects what we are doing, our future vision and what we are living in the moment.”
The firm includes several lawyers who, like Nyambe, have enhanced their specialist knowledge and commercial acumen in the energy and natural resources sectors through postgraduate studies in the UK and working with international clients in Africa.
“We represent a lot of companies, mostly in energy, natural resources and infrastructural development, from Europe, Canada, and the United States, as well as some mining companies from outside of Namibia,” says Nyambe. “They come to Namibia for business and we ensure that, from the legal and business operational aspects, their business interests are well taken care of.”
The rebranding, which includes a new logo and website, positions SNC Incorporated for future growth, underlining its strength in the energy, natural resources, corporate and commercial sector and its focus on law and business advisory services.
“This is our vision - it’s something we’re already doing but we’re looking to do it on a bigger scale because the firm is growing,” says Nyambe.
“We are able to advise you, to give you full comprehensive legal, commercial, and business advisory services in all aspects.”
SNC Incorporated’s expertise has seen it approached by major international law firms and it is open to collaboration on various projects while wanting to retain its own growing brand. The firm intends to expand in Namibia and open offices in other countries, including South Africa and eventually the United Kingdom.
“Many transactions involving African business are planned and executed in London, the big financial hub, so we should have a presence there.”
Nyambe says SNC Incorporated believes they can connect the companies and individuals who want to do business in Namibia and Africa, advising them to ensure they set up successfully and are able to go about their business successfully.
