Returning to London on 14-15 October this year, AFSIC - Investing in Africa goes far beyond what attendees receive at content-focused conferences, says Robyn Scott, Principal at African Investments Limited. “AFSIC is the only conference where the focus is on networking, closing deals, and driving investment into Africa.”
Bringing together leading investors, dynamic CEOs, and dealmakers, AFSIC is focused on highlighting Africa’s best investment opportunities and accelerating investment into and across Africa via high-impact networking, industry panels, highly focused meetings, and real opportunities for connection and collaboration.
“The feedback received from investors and companies raising capital at AFSIC has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Scott. “Key points made include the exceptional quality and variety of the programme, the high engagement of attendees, multiple productive opportunities to develop new partnerships, and the excellent breadth of Africa-focused investors including most of the DFIs from Europe, UK and the US.”
Raphael Dana, co-CEO of Gozem, Africa’s Super App, says last year’s AFSIC allowed he and his co-founder to get in front of - and get the attention of - the right investors.
“At AFSIC, I think what was really interesting is all the different types of investors we were able to meet,” says Dana. “Obviously, all the big DFIs are there. IFC is one of our big partners, but there are many others from many other countries represented. In addition, all the big private equity funds of Africa are represented at the event and we were able to discuss the current round, we've just closed our Series B, and the structure of future rounds. We were also able to meet with investment bankers.”
Last year, more than $10 billion of deals were profiled onsite at AFSIC.
“At AFSIC 2024, I met a range of individuals interested in what we offer, resulting in nine countries inviting us to establish an Education Town for their nation’s youth,” says Dr Tahirih Danesh, CEO of Africa College Foundation.
In 2025, AFSIC is excited to introduce new 60Second Snapshot Sessions in Meet the Investors rooms. This adds to the bountiful opportunities for entities looking to raise capital such as Meet the Investors sessions (including Meet the DFIs, Meet the PE Investors, Meet the VC Investors), Quickfire sessions, general networking and various country sessions, and the Deal Room dedicated space for one-to-one meetings.
“Each speaker will have 60 seconds to give a high-impact snapshot of their raising capital in a short rapid-fire-style session,” says Scott, whose company Africa Investments works alongside AFSIC to ensure African companies and funds looking to raise capital have comprehensive digital promotion in the lead-up to AFSIC, and year-round, as well as the unparalleled opportunities to engage investors on site.
